More New Toys

Aunt Kathy sent Tate a Leap Frog puppy named Scout. We were able to program all Tate's information into it's learning. It talks to Tate and teaches him how to spell his name. Tate wasn't too sure about Scout in the beginning...
But he finally came around. Thanks Kathy! We all love it!
Time for a jumperoo. He isn't quite tall enough. We have had to stack books under his feet. We are hoping this will strengthen his leg muscles a little. He is such a squishy baby and at this point refuses to put any weight on his legs.

Another month of pictures...

Tate LOVES his daddy. He thinks Levi is just sooo funny. I've been told that Tate looks just like Levi in this picture...

Tate is turning into one cuddly baby (I think this is partially due to his increasing demand for my attention) and I'm not complaining.
He is becoming more aware of his sense of touch. He wants to grab everything. When I hold him, he pats my back or cheek with his open palm. It's so sweet. Love it. But, if I don't watch out, he'll have his entire fist in my mouth when I'm talking. Recently he has started petting my hair when it's within reach rather than grabbing a handful and tugging.
Nothing cuter than this...
Except maybe this...

Tate at 4 months

Another month has gone by. Crazy how time flys. He enjoys (or should I say demands)your attention more and more each day. He is a smiley and giggly baby and likes everything as long as you are sitting right next to him and talking to him. SPOILED! It's so tiring sometimes, but so worth it. I love the attention that he gives right back to us.

Slow Down

It seems like he is growing faster than my typing can even keep up. He has already outgrown a full tub of clothes.

A Rainy Weekend

What a great way to spend a rainy weekend...hanging with my two boys watching movies, football, playing, taking long naps and playing some more.

14 weeks

Ah, much better. We made it without puking this time, just a little drool...
Look at those chubby little legs...
Tate has become completely fascinated with his feet...
and so have I...
I know his smile is a tad on the obnoxious side, but how can you not smile at this...

Warning: Very Disgusting!

I set Tate in his little chair to take his weekly photo and this was my first shot...
and this was my second...
Maybe we'll try again tomorrow.

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling

Remember me saying that Tate was a pretty good sleeper? Just kidding! I don't know what I was thinking! He started rolling over last week and ever since he learned to roll, he is constantly waking himself up. He rolls to his tummy, gets stuck and gets mad. We are very proud that our squishy baby is rolling over already, however, we are ready for him to learn to roll back to his back instead of screaming for help every time!
No cute pictures this week, unless you think crabby/screaming babies are cute. These were last weeks pictures when we were all a little more happy and rested...

What a goofball...

Loving that Wagon...

Back to Ainsley's, aka Toy Land, we go for another play date!
Tate loves to ride in the wagon. Actualy Tate loves all of Ainsley's toys. He tries out all her cool toys to see which ones he really wants.
I think this is the cutest picture ever. I know Gwen is going to kill me for posting her picture though :) You can see her playdate post here.
They completely wore themselves out!

Christmas Toys and Play Dates

My Christmas gift to Tate was the bumbo chair. You can tell by his expression how much he likes it. I always new I would be the boring parent, but I didn't think I would be the boring parent so soon. Levi got Tate a puppy and I got him a silly bumbo. Anyway, in case you haven't heard the news, Tate's puppy has already died so my gift isn't looking too bad after all.
Then we wen't to Grandma and Grandpa McWilliams for Christmas where Tate got some pretty cool presents and once again, my bumbo gift looked pretty lame. Grandma and Grandpa got him a sled and Gwen and Jeremiah got him a wagon.
I Spy....Gus hiding under the tree!
Lucky Daddy! Always gets to put everything together...

We went to Ainsley's this week to play with her wagon too...

Tate at 3 Months

Tate is officially 3 months today! It seems like it has gone so quickly and he has grown so fast, but on the other hand, it's hard to believe that I have only known him for 3 months. I already can't remember life without him. We always told ourselves that he would only sleep in our room until he was three months old, so last night we put him in his crib at bedtime. I was very doubtful that he would stay there the whole night but we set up the baby monitor and gave it a try. Honestly, it was the best night sleep I have had in a long time. We didn't hear a sound until 5am which means he technically slept through the night for the first time. I gave him a bottle and back to bed he went. The whole family was still in bed at 8am! I am still in disbelief just typing it. So, long story short, he is doing very good at sleeping at night. Other news:
- He is reaching and grabbing at toys, focusing on books, watching TV and just much, much more aware of his surroundings
-He is starting to actually interact with us. He will respond with, "ahhhgoo" when we talk to him instead of just babbling for no reason. When we are giving him a bottle, he will just stare at us until we look at him. Once he notices he has our attention, he will give us the biggest smile.
-Levi and I have decided it is going to be dangerous for a little devilish 2 year old to have such a cute smile because we will do ANYTHING to get a smile and promote any type of behavior.
-Only twice have we heard a giggle. Once on Christmas day and once when Levi and I were squeezing him into a "Tate Sandwich" which he thinks is so funny.
A month full of pictures:

What's So Funny?

Daddy!
My new favorite photo...

Christmas Recap

This is our Christmas recap in fast forward. I've had to cut down 100 or so pictures into just 5 or 6 due to severe lack of time and motivation. Tate wasn't too enthused with Christmas this year anyway. Actually, he was so bored that he slept through most of it and the rest of the time he was passed from one person to the next for 4 straight days.
Levi very much dislikes these jammies and apologizes to Tate every time I make him wear them. They are quite tight and I was afraid he might out grow them before Christmas, but, we did manage to squeeze his chubby arms in the holes. Christmas morning in his Christmas jammies...
I'm not sure who was laughing at who. Is Tate laughing at his great grandma's or the great grandma's laughing at Tate?
Tate sleeping through McWilliams Christmas...
Ainsley trying out her wheely bug...

Tate was keeping a watchful eye on Ainsley. He wasn't sure if he should trust the little cupcake laying next to him...
Tate's cousin Elliott and his mom and dad stayed a few nights with us during the Christmas holiday. Tate was the baby of the McWilliams family for a whopping 3 weeks before Elliott was born.
Great grand baby number 13 and 14...
It made us so happy to have an extra stocking to hang this year...
